Featured location is a full daylight studio with a wet area set. The wet area features a heated industrial rainfall shower from the center of the ceiling, daylight wet area with floor drain and stone backdrop, and optional clawfoot tub. The featured location makes shooting with water really easy and comfortable with heated rainfall and floor drain. The industrial rainfall shower falls from the center of the ceiling in the wet area making it possible to place any backdrop behind the rainfall to achieve any look imaginable.
One of my favorite photographic looks happens when water is introduced into images. Water shapes were created for the Dior Hydra Life shot for Neiman Marcus Beauty Book shown below. Also shown is a look we shot in a tub outdoors at the Standard Hotel in Miami by James Moritz.
We have found an incredible location right here in New York that features a beautiful clawfoot tub and a heated industrial rainfall shower.
The location features a full-size daylight studio space with distressed cement walls, glass pane windows, a variety of props, furniture, paper backdrops, and the standard studio amenities like wifi and a fridge.
Moritz and Co can always introduce a water element, reflection, or water shape by using our own custom-built portable black shallow pool that works in most studio settings with a cement floor. However the heated rainfall, floor drain and clawfoot tub make this a standout location.
The best part about this location is that the wet area set is only a small portion of the studio space and is perfect for that special hero shot we do at the end of the day or an entire wet look shoot.
